DESIGN > MAKE > SOLVE

about me, June 2012:

I'm a multidisciplinary designer based in Snowdonia, North Wales. I enjoy working on and with ideas to make them happen.

From events to engineering, I bring a bright, personable, resourceful approach. I can quickly grasp a concept, and define and deliver for you the steps needed to develop or deliver it.

I graduated in Product Design Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University and have since gained experience in several industries. I have provided services to multinationals, and my work has helped develop a number of businesses and won them awards and recognition. Products I've designed or worked on are being sold all over the world.

Current interests and work are leading me into areas including digital, education, health, photography and sustainability...

I have designed and managed for an industrial technical consultancy, a bespoke interiors consultancy, and then seven years in setting up and running a design engineering consultancy. Hundreds of briefs have made me familiar with many business types and achieving success through providing practical managed support.

In 2008 I incorporated AMALGAM8 Ltd (established 2005) to enable production of my own exhibitions, furniture and prototypes. I also work with a wide network of associates and suppliers - so I know where to go, who to see, and how to get things done.

My time is currently split between being design and facilitation manager for the innovative and exciting inventorium project at Bangor University, volunteering for the Business Wales Mentoring service, and various other projects.
